Grid Labs product design case study
The product problem

Technical detail only helps when it answers a buying question.

Hosting pages can become specification walls. Grid Labs needed to make plans comparable, establish what changes between tiers and help visitors understand which option fits without hiding the technical information serious buyers still need.

My contribution. I worked on commercial hierarchy, plan presentation, comparison patterns, responsive layout and the balance between technical specification and purchase-oriented explanation.

Key decisions

Where the design judgment mattered.

Decision

Make plan differences obvious

The hierarchy emphasizes the few attributes that actually change the buying decision.

Decision

Separate headline value from technical detail

Core differences stay scannable while deeper specifications remain available for serious evaluation.

Decision

Keep comparison usable on small screens

Responsive behavior protects the relationship between plan, price and included capability.

Project evidence

Screens, shipped material and public references.

The artifacts sit inside the story because proof is more useful next to the decision it supports than in a ceremonial section at the end.

This case has limited public visual material, so the write-up stays focused on the work I can describe accurately rather than filling the page with decorative substitutes.

Experience model

A decision path, not a feature dump

The work demonstrates how information hierarchy can support a buying decision without removing the technical depth that gives the offer credibility.

  1. 01

Understand the category and intended buyer.

  2. 02

Compare the meaningful differences between plans.

  3. 03

Inspect deeper technical detail when needed.

  4. 04

Move toward the plan or conversation that fits.

What this work demonstrates

A commercial page that makes technical choice easier
